Make Your Voice Heard! If you care about homelessness, your voice should be heard. Here are a few ideas about how you can become an advocate on issues relating to homelessness.

Vote! - You don't have to be housed to vote! Your vote can make the difference when it comes to representatives and policies that impact people experiencing homelessness. For more information on voting in Contra Costa, including polling places and how to track your ballot, go to www.contracostavote.gov.

Join a Mailing List - Sign up for updates from the trusted agencies and organizations below. They'll alert you to opportunities and often provide speaking points!

Speak At a Meeting - Council on Homelessness, City/Town Council and Board of Supervisors meetings all discuss issues related to homelessness and provide opportunity for public input. Sign up to automatically receive agendas and share your thoughts when an issue related to homelessness is being discussed.

Write A Letter - Federal, State and Local representatives want to hear from you! Don't be shy about writing a letter or email. For more information about how to identify your representatives, visit www.usa.gov/elected-officials.
